About the City


París is one of the most beatiful cities in the world. Each one of its 20 "arrondissements" has its own meaning and significance for the parisians. The streets brings the atmosphere and images that caracterizes the city: the Eiffel Tower, Nótre Dame, the Louvre... it is an endless list. The music, fashion, literature, art, everything makes of Paris the center and Mecca of those interested in the study of the French Language.

Art:
Louvre: All of the old masters, an incomparable wealth in size and quality of art, antique and contemporary sculptures. Pompidou Center: The largest museum of modern and contemporary art. Musée d´Orsay: art, arts and crafts of the 19th century (an important impressionist collection). Picasso museum: Works by artists from all periods.

Chuches and art:
Even in the Parisian churches you can find works of art by the great artists; for example, Tintiretto, Rubens, Brueghel, Delacroix and others. Notre Dame (the largest and most beautiful Parisian church).

Food, Bistros, Cafés, Nightlife:
We are unable to provide an extensive list of the culinary delights. French food is simply waiting to be discovered. The classic night spots are Montmartre, Pigalle, the Champs Eysées, les Halles, Bastille and St. Germain des Près.

Culture:
There are 100 theaters in Paris alone (Opéra, Comédie Française, Théatre National Populaire etc.) plenty of cinemas and pubs with music are available.

Other sights:
We recommend a visit to the Parisian cemetery "Père Lachaise" where many well known people are buried (among others Chopin, Balzac, Delacroix, Oscar Wilde, Heinrich Heine, Stendahl, Berlioz, Jim Morrison). Deffinatly worth a visit is the Pompidou centre with its entertainers and artists.Excursions to Versailles (Le Château).
